Twin towers essay

I have lived in New York City for over 30 years. Whenever I went to the World Trade Center I always felt uncomfortable. Standing in the plaza was particularly uncomfortable. The towers were so tall and close together, I would look up and wonder what would happen if they fell down. I always rushed from the plaza. I didn’t like going to the top either but over the years friends and family would always want to go. The shaky elevators, the slim sheet of glass separating you from the view. Sometimes I waited across the street near the water. It all felt so unsafe. I distinctly remember the one and only time I ate at the Windows On the World. Everyone was very excited and I was seated parallel to the windows. As I looked out onto the view I began watching small planes fly below me. I looked away and turned my chair from the view. I never went to the restaurant again.
